hello and welcome to hybrid addiction
toolbox series so one of these amazing tools that I use is disputing irrational
beliefs irrational beliefs can cause urges to creep up on us and when we have
an irrational belief it gives us an excuse to drink we’re thinking
irrationally instead of rationally so here’s a worksheet that I highly
recommend so for example the question is do I always fail the irrational belief I
always fail now if you turn it to a rational belief I have done some useful
things in the past so I don’t and won’t always fail now there’s another one here
ask yourself this question have I really never done anything worthwhile this is
the question the irrational belief is totally worthless
now we change it to a rational belief I have done some worth worthless and
useless things but because I have had success at things I cannot judge myself
as totally worthless person so these some of the questions you can ask
yourself it changed these irrational beliefs you know I have to I have no
choice because we do have choices so if we say I have no choice to drink or I
have no choice to do something the rational belief is yes I do have a
choice means I have a choice to drink so when we think differently we start to
behave differently when we’re thinking rationally and I’ll pull another
question out and you can work through this worksheet on your own or you can

and really get your rational life right on the path that’s supposed to be say oh
I’ll read oh another one is using the only option I have is using drugs or
alcohol the only option I have this is the question for example the irrational
belief is on board and that makes makes me uncomfortable the only thing I can do
is engage in my intended behavior now here’s the rational belief the
phrase I can do other things to receive to relieve boredom if I do one I’ll be
less bored and it will get my mind off the addictive behavior so when we see if
you see how the wording I word it changed and we can do this in our life
we can change from irrational to irrational and this is kuttan behavior
therapy and you can do it on your own and you can start thinking differently
and if you find yourself absolutely thinking irrationally on a daily basis
go through this worksheet as many times you really processing to change your
thoughts to change your behaviors in your life so I highly recommend changing
your irrational beliefs to rational beliefs and we haven’t won a daily basis
so to live the life that you’ve always desired is thinking rationally so hope
this tool really helped you think differently have different thoughts so
it changes your behavior especially when it comes to our addictive behavior have
