  1. They are " not bed kids " ! How stupid, like all those o.d. people were stupid, bad kids ! Non of them was hahing a plan to o.d. and die ! No one of them, and those were just " regular joe's "

  2. FIRST LADY WILL MAKE ANOTHER SPEACH COPPY, AND TALK ABOUT OPIOD CRISIS , IN ABOUT A YEAR ! LISTEN TO MY BABY !

  3. My heart breaks 😢for this father, I remember my dad screaming in pain for hours when my brother died, he was 19 and my dad's only son. My father hasn't been the same since, he still has us 5 daughters but my brother left a massive whole in my dad's heart. Sometimes I wish I can go get my brother so that dad has someone to drive the truck with him, he's always crying and he's lost alot of weight over it. 😢😢😢 God help this father!!!!

  4. But it's NOT an "OPOID " overdose!! This is a COMBINATION OVERDOSE!!! IF it was solely opoid..there wouldn"t of been any alcohol in their system!!!! It"s the fact that kids promote it as a "recreational drugs'' that is an issue!!!

  5. So the kid who gave them the opiod got jail time…but what about the person who also gave them ALCOHOL!!???! They WERE UNDERAGE….and it"s the COMBINATION of alcohol and oxy"s that is the cause of the overdose! NOT the opiod alone!!!! I take oxycodone for a chronic pain issue and I don't even take a SINGLE SIP of Alcohol w them!!!! And I am also VERY CAREFUL when I take my medication and I have done all my research and I am VERY RESPONSIBLE with them etc etc and I have been constantly constantly dismissed by doctors not wanting to help me …I have been completely discriminated by doctors accepting patients not wanting to take me on as a patient BECAUSE of my medication..etc etc etc!!!

  6. Alcohol kills 75% more people than opioids each Year. D.E.A. are trying to stomp the mouse around the elephant. Makes no sense.

  7. Why aren't you going after the alcohol industry also.  Please say it was a combination of alcohol and pain pills.  How awful.  One mistake, it wasn't your fault.  They made one bad decision.  I wonder who was responsible for giving them the pills.  I bet they feel horrible for the rest of their lives.

  8. I ma sorry that thus happened in their family. However, if she was a single mom, not white, kids did not play sports they would not have had this forum. Also, my guess is that is not the first time that they drank or took drugs.

  9. Well first of all if they were so smart they wouldn't have done any drugs and this wasnt thier first time you couldn't tell they took anything because you believe they wouldn't but this gets me they weren't forced to take anything so at this point you as a parent shouldn't said what your kids wouldn't do when your not around mom knew about the epidemic seeung that she is a nurse

  10. My daughter is a mess heroin, methadone, pills, car accidents, drives drunk. Went ivy League on a full scholarship, cheerleader, dancer. Now high 24 hrs

  11. Richard Spencer and David Duke are silent about this epidemic! Yet they blame everyone else for their problems!

  12. They died more of alcohol poisoning, why isn't she going after that industry?  Now they are going to go after people in pain and more deaths will happen.  We are the collateral damage and no one cares.

  13. If drug companies were to start paying the Government the same amount of taxes and kickbacks that Alcohol Manufacturers do. There would be no war on opioids.

  14. This is almost amusing. It's so ridiculous. Alcohol and cigarettes and methamphetamine are a problem. Over 75% more people die from alcohol related incidents in a year than opioids related incidents.

  15. From 2013 to present day. 7500 people have died in alcohol related incidents. 4500 under 18 years old. Less than 1000 opioid related deaths. This so called opioid epidemic is false propaganda in an attempt to get drug manufacturers to start paying the powers that be.

  16. My heart goes out to this family, I am so sorry. I want to try and assist others because God saved my life. This is killing our kids and it needs to stop. Again, so sorry, it brings tears to my eyes.

  17. So sad. These painkillers are worse in many ways then harsh drugs bc they are gateway drugs n ppl think theyre safe but theyre not n mix them with alcohol or other things n die.

  18. STOP CALLING IT PRESCRIPTION DRUGS! Call it what it is, OXYCODONE. Those pills were probably bought from someone. Too many young people follow the road of trying pills, and they don't realize taking too much is deadly. Also the interactions with alcohol.
I wonder if the pills were oxycodone extended release, and they snorted them? That is something that all people need to know about, if a drug is extended release, do not crush/open it and snort it because those are meant to be RELEASED SLOWLY, NOT ALL AT ONCE.
That is the most common reason why death occurs.

  19. Forgive me for this, but I do not believe that the parents did not know how much oxycodone was in each boy's system. That is a law to measure the amount by obtaining a blood specimen.
And a person will not die from taking one pill.
But, if indeed it was extended release, the chance becomes a possibility…but even so, it is rarely just "one."
    I'm sorry.

  20. I always see ppl sayin "well what abt the ppl that actually need opioid pain meds", nobodys talkin abt the ppl that need pain pills, this is abt ppl losing ppl due 2 opiate addiction, sum of these ppl ACTUALLY NEEDED them 2 start with….this is jus awful…..

  21. its mostly white people. they are weak minded. anything negative that effects their life, they just cant handle it. they have no mental toughness

  22. Megan would u please do a show about adults disabled that can’t their pain meds…
Please check it out. More will die this year because they can’t get their pain under control…
And taking their lives because they hurt so BAD…

  23. Both of them?!!
    And on the SAME NIGHT?!!!!
Dear God, please bless and bring comfort to those parents. I could not even imagine the pain.

  24. i knw of mothers who lost 2-3 sons to 🔫 because of the community they grew up in was flooded with drugs. they died a product of their environment.

  25. Something is wrong with young people today. Boys like this go to parties with all kinds of drugs? Why? When I was growing up there were NO drugs at parties. If the parents are so wonderful why are these kinds of kids messing with prescription medication in the first place. That is the PROBLEM. Go after these kids and their parents. Don't go after legitimate medication that other people need and use responsibly.

  26. This is profoundly sad. However why is nobody reporting on what this epidemic is doing to Chronic Pain Sufferers? I can no longer get any help. I can no longer get out of bed. Most days I wish I was dead! Yes control the supply but do not punish those who need them.

  27. I’m obviously a little late to the video and obviously this is a horrible tragedy however being someone who has chronic pain and also suffers with anxiety, I now have to make a choice between being in pain or not being able to take medicine when I have a panic attack because of people abusing these medications. The laws that are being put into place may be saving SOME people from overdoses, but are hurting people who are in real pain. I’m not able to get out of bed some days whereas just a few years ago I could take something and could be a productive member of society.

  28. I would like to say it is the combination, I have chronic pain and have some pain killers yet I never have that rotten drug alcohol and I've been just fine lets get rid of alcohol,oh no think of all the taxes you will lose

  29. There are more death from alcohol, smoking, car accidents, suicide but no one talk about these death. Yes there a problem with recreational use of opiates and sadly patients whom life of quality is effected by Trumps laws.

Pray for the family whom suffer from stories such as these. The sad truth is where do these toxic drugs come from? Are they order over the internet, mixed with other drugs, brought in from other countries?

Recreational addiction are different then patients who see doctors, understand how to use the medication. One therapist told me that people who don't feel effects often take more or the bottle sit in the medical cabinets. Did start my comments as I watch this, God know the country needs more parents to educate recreational uses is deadly. To educate that the bathroom cabinet is not the place to keep any prescriptions where other people can access these pills. Please include it just as important to count, report when pills go missing.

  30. They were not "druggies". What is that how could u be a talk show host and refer to ppl who become addicted this could happen to ANYONE its very sad.

  31. People without teenagers blame the parents. Kids lie and hide what they are doing with friends. Sometimes nothing works being strict or lenient or in the middle. They don't think about consequences only wanting to fit in with peers.

  32. How about paying attention to the son you still have, who is behaving well? Stop focusing, as always, on the ones who screwed up.

  33. Very sorry for your loss…..I had a friend who lost one son to heroin overdose and the other son was in ICU but survived. Very shocking, these boys also played hockey. Becky, your hair is gorgeous.

  34. This is so sad looks like 2 very bright and popular young men , my heart goes out to the Family and everyone affected. I couldn't imagine losing 2 family members esp the oldest siblings. I dont care race religion, socio economic background this is awful and the drug wasnt even one of the worst opioids. So sad 😪

  35. ITS HORRIBLE. IM SO SORRY FOR THIS .
PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY
MEDICAL MEDS ARE VERY DIFFERENT FOR PATIENTS WITH HORRIBLE DISEASE. ABD THISE PATIENTS CANT RA LMN E ANYTHING ELSE BUT OPIODS
URS A DIFFERENT .PATIENTS ARE EDUCATED AND EDUCATED ON HOW TO TAKE CARE OF OUR SICKNESS. KIDS OUT IN THE WIRKD ARE STEALING AND GETTING DRUGS FROM THE STREETS OR DRUG DEALERS . OR ANY DRUG THAT WE PATIENTS ARE BEING POINTED AT.
WE PATIENTS ARE NIT ON STREET CORNERS THISE ARE STOLEN DRUGS AND STREET STUFF

  36. IT IS SAD. BUT PKEASE DONT BLAME US ALL BECAUSE WE NEED MEDS TO JUST WALK OR MAKE IT TO THE BATHROOM OR SIT UP. I WISH KIDS JUST TOOK LIFE AND TO RESPECT NOT TO JYST PUT STUFF IN T H.G E MOUTH IF BABIES

  37. Its not the doctor's fault. It's the drug dealers and the drugs coming in from China and Mexico. We must build that wall and stem the flow of heroin and fentany killing people.

  38. It's because of the person or the "people" like this person that give out their prescription medication that make it very hard for people with chronic pain, from serious surgery or injury, to get the pain medication they need to function on a daily basis while rehabilitating.

  39. My mom is a quadriplegic… and has had many spine surgeries and has lived with chronic pain for decades.
She’s now in the ICU from a accidental overdose of Norco. She is in a coma. She’s 65 not 20.. not 30.. Addiction or accidental overdose can happen to anyone . Not just what we think of as the picture of what a addict is.

  40. Ahh we watched this in school, and I’m glad we did. It happens to even the smartest of them. I almost lost my cousin to an overdose. He’d always been really intelligent and I’d never expect it to be him. He was about to finish college when I found out. Luckily, he’s doing fine now.

  41. My son is an addict and lives on the streets – sadly he has access to medical intervention programs. The feeling is hopeless

  42. Losing two children in the same night, Jesus Christ! I can't even imagine the pain of losing one! I don't even understand how they're all still standing! They're heroes in my mind for trying to turn this into awareness. We have the same epidemic here in Iceland. We don't have heroin in this country but multiple people and kids are dying every year because of Oxy overdose or any other morphine related drugs. I have an 11 year old daughter and this frightens me every day to think that she could go this route since addiction runs deep in my family, I myself have been clean little over 2 years now and this was my drug of choice, my brother's also a user and not clean so these kind of stories always effect my deeply.

  43. My heart breaks for this family. And this story plays out over this country every day. Prescription pain killers are also the gateway to heroin addiction for so many. So sorry for this family’s loss. Thank you for turning such a horrible tragedy into something positive to help others.

  44. Where was all this help with blacks and the crack epidemic? Just threw them in jail and separated the families

  45. Drugs have no preference! They don’t care if the users are honor roll students, doctors, students… etc it can happen to anyone

  46. One of the saddest stories I have ever seen! Good parents talk to their kids about weed, booze, etc, etc…but sometimes prescription pills get left out!

  47. People who use are seeking to fill a void they cannot define. I wish more people would begin to seek God in a deep and meaningful way.

  48. Like anything that can be used for good ,idiots will use it for bad and I hate parents blaming anyone else but themselves and their kids ,period

  49. They heard plenty of warnings. They knew not to do opioids; they WANTED to do them. –Not the parents' fault. –No one else's fault.

  50. Becky Savage came to talk about this at my school today. It was extremely emotional & difficult to listen to. So sorry for their loss.

  51. This is so sad.. I was an addict for 22 years and now help addicts recover and this is an epidemic I help more opioid addicts than all the other drugs combined

  52. My grandfather used to say always that losing his daughter (my mother) felt worse than losing his wife (my grandmother) My grandfather lost his wife and five years later his daughter. I was 25 when my mother died. She was only 49. In 2017 I lost my father to cancer and 16 months later my aunt (dad's sister) And in between I lost my best friend to cancer. She was only 33. Grief is hard. I am a sensitive man and it hasn't been easy. January 2020 is already the 30th anniversary of mom's passing. Looking at the strenght of two parents who lost their two sons on the same day and what message they bring to students in colleges and universities is astonishing. It will most likely help them tremendously to heal becausing it is all a healing process.

  53. When crack was PUT in the Black community It was Jail time and 3 strikes you're out. Whites dying from Opioid's/heroin, a bill is passed to use Tax Payer money to HELP with special Drug courts that practice NOT to convict people, .Nothing RACIST to see here is there?
The Opioid/Heroin overdose issue is a problem that mainly affect white America, more than 80% according to the CDC.According to Law Enforcement "We cannot arrest our way out of this" Now that white kids from the suburbs are dying, all of a sudden it's an epidemic. KARMA is a B*TCH
