00:03
COMM: Monique Allen is one of the most surgically enhanced people on the planet. 00:08
COMM: Undergoing an estimated two hundred cosmetic procedures. 00:12
MONIQUE: I definitely went off the deep end, I think I’ve had over two hundred surgeries.
And I regret it because it’s ruined my body. 00:21
COMM: Despite leaving her with an extreme appearance and ongoing health issues, she
still feels there’s more work to be done. 00:29
COMM: Monique from La Habra, California has shelled out hundreds of thousands of dollars
over the years, striving for the body she craves. 00:36
MONIQUE: I was definitely obsessed, I pushed my obsession to the limit. I think it was
an addiction just like drugs or alcohol is an addiction. I’ve had my lips done maybe
twenty times, had my breasts done nine times, my hips done eight times and my ass done ten
times, there’s probably many, many I can’t even remember. 00:59
COMM: However there is one surgery she certainly doesn’t regret, as Monique was born a boy
called Johnny, before undergoing gender reassignment surgery in the seventies. 01:09
MONIQUE: My reassignment surgery, it was very important to me and thank God we live in an
age where science can give you that, if that’s what you truly want and need. 01:21
COMM: Her sister Judy has watched Monique’s transformation over the years. 01:25
JUDY: Since we have been kids, Monique is the same inside, but outside just one hundred
percent from head to toe, different person. I think she is always feeling, it’s not quite
perfect in her mind. 01:43
COMM: Unsurprisingly, she turns heads wherever she goes. 01:46
MONIQUE: The reaction I get from people is varied. If I’m going out like this I am definitely
stop traffic. 01:57
VERONIQUE: It’s not natural at all. 02:01
VERONIQUE: I don’t like it. 02:03
CORY: I was a little scared at first, it actually intimidates me. 02:07
CORY: Thumbs down. 02:10
COMM: And one of Monique’s most recognisable features is her enormous breasts, which she
has had operated on nine times. 02:18
MONIQUE: I believe I’m 38 triple F now. I don’t wanna go any bigger. 02:24
MONIQUE: I think this one’s saline and this one’s silicone. Plus what I did wrong was
I had liquid silicone injected over the implants. 02:36
MONIQUE: Hi, I’m Monique. 02:38
COMM: But it’s her nose which has been her obsession throughout the years. Having an
amazing twenty three nose jobs. 02:46
MONIQUE: I was thinking of having another nose job. And I’ve been to maybe a half a
dozen surgeons and they said no. And I don’t blame them. 02:54
DOCTOR: Hi Monique, I’m Doctor Diamond. 02:55
COMM: Monique has come to see surgeon, Dr. Jason Diamond to talk about further work on
her nose. 03:01
DOCTOR: Your nose has been so traumatised and there’s so much scar tissue, there’s no
give to it. So I tell you, you should leave your nose alone, leave it alone. 03:12
COMM: And Dr. Diamond has a shocking revelation. 03:14
DOCTOR: Whoever did your face, they attached your ear down to your jaw, your ear is attached
down to your jaw, it’s a problem we call as pixie ear deformity and it’s the worst one
I’ve ever seen actually. It’s quite significant. 03:27
DOCTOR: It appears that she’s had way too many surgeries, I wouldn’t be surprised if
Monique has had copious amounts of silicone injected into different parts of her body.
That could have some health implications down the line. 03:41
COMM: The news comes as little surprise. 03:45
MONIQUE: I’ve come to learn to live with what I’ve done to myself and what is physically
possible. 03:52
DOCTOR: Surgery’s out. MONIQUE: Oh okay.
DOCTOR: Surgery’s out, it’s not an option for you. 03:58
COMM: Yet in spite of the bad prognosis, Monique’s infamy means she’ll never be short of subscribers. 04:05
LUKE: I love her look, and she’s unique to herself so y’know yeah. 04:12
COMM: And she finally feels she is getting a handle on her surgery addiction. 04:18
MONIQUE: Learn to appreciate who you are, y’know it comes down to low self esteem, it’s
something I’m coming to terms with.
