Smart drugs: A ‘nightmare’ for students?

I just had an article talking about
British students taking smart drugs like modafinil or stuff like that – I also saw
a video on BBC about if smart drugs can be a type of nightmare for students – I
found both of these concepts very interesting and I have a few thoughts
about it so I thought I would make a video and let you know a little bit more –
I’ve put the links to this information below so you’re welcome to look at it
yourself – so I’m Lydia a student at Edinburgh
University and I’m going to talk to you about smart drugs and whether whether or not there are nightmare for students – so as you may have guessed this video is
mainly focused on students because about 1/3 of students take drugs like this to
help them in school – so it can help you stay awake stay focused stay motivated
but the question is are smart drugs really a nightmare or can they be
beneficial – so I completely understand the need for students to take drugs like
Modafinil or Ritalin they do help you stay awake and get
things done and stay motivated and nowadays with the competitiveness in
school, job hunting, flat hunting it can be a lot to handle – however it seems like
drugs like this can often actually deter one from studying – so in the video I
posted below from BBC there were side effects they mentioned like getting
irritable and anxious – so there was one boy that was taking taking one of these
smart drugs and he just seemed very jittery very distracted and he even
started having weird problems on his skin – so there’s other side effects to
continue with smart drugs like that – the worst was that he was actually playing
on his phone far more than usual – so that to me would be a type of deal-breaker
because I want something that will help me study not deter me from it –
but to be fair to drugs like modafinil they do help you concentrate so for
students who do have problem focusing on one thing at a time
this might actually be helpful – and I just like many other students have that
exact same problem – so you can see why people would give up the side effects to
reap the benefits – so my idea is to switch to something called natural
nootropics which is meant to give you the exact same side-effects that
synthetic drugs give you but without the repercussions – so there’s something new
out that’s called brainzyme which I’ve mentioned in other videos of mine – so
‘brainzyme’ is made up of natural supplements herbs vitamins minerals and
I’ve tried it before and it gives me the exact same (side) effects but with no
downfalls – so you can knock out work for seven hours concentrate get a lot done
and it works fantastic – but it’s all natural ingredients – so when BBC talks
about whether whether or not smart drugs are a nightmare for students I think
it’s necessary to make the distinction between synthetic drugs and natural
drugs – so a lot of people put up with side effects to get the benefits when in
reality the natural nootropics might be a better alternative – so overall for me I
would recommend natural nootropics they would allow students to focus and
concentrate – but not give them any kind of poor side effects – so if you want to
learn more about any of this feel free to click the links down below – thank you
so much for watching my video and I hope you enjoyed it
